Prior to directing and producing Berni’s Journey, Slowey was in the private sector for more than 20 years in the financial services industry. After leaving the corporate arena, Slowey began business consulting and started her independent production company, Vast Universe Productions. Having managed several departments and multi-million dollar budgets, Slowey integrates creative perspective to strategic planning and business sense to artistic endeavors. Slowey’s previous experience in project management and commercial video production were transferable skills she poured into her first film project, a feature-length documentary.

Slowey has been obsessed with film since she saw her first movie in a refugee camp in Guam after evacuating during the Vietnam war, just days before the fall of Saigon. After moving several times during her childhood, including living in Tehran, Iran, Slowey has called Colorado home since 1984. She lives in Denver with her husband and two sons.

Tommy Collier is an Emmy and Telly award winning visual artist and one of Denver’s most sought after creative professionals. Tommy graduated Magna Cum Laude, Par Excellence with a degree in Video Production from The Art Institute of Colorado in 2007. Referred to by many as a true “jack of all trades”, Tommy has a diverse range of creative talents and experience working in the film, television, video, photography, advertising and design industries.

He currently works full-time running his own very successful video production and photography company, Tommy Collier Productions. Tommy is also the founder of Coal Miner Films, an independent film and television production company based in Denver, Colorado. Berni’s Journey marks the inaugural film credit for Coal Miner Films and the beginning of many future creative collaborations in development with Vast Universe Productions.

Les Nordhauser has a long list of credits as a writer, director, producer, and/or production manager over more than two decades in the Hollywood film and television industry, spanning several genres including, features, reality, sitcoms, episodic, game shows and variety.

Les served two terms as Chairman of the Board of the American Association of Producers & also a term as Vice President of Motion Pictures of the Producers Guild of America, where he continues as a Honorary Board Member. He is currently based in Bangkok, Thailand, where he is the Founder of a production and production services company, Greenlight Films, which started in 2007 – www.greenlight.co.th. Prior to being in Asia for the past 10 years, Les was Vice President of Production with Sony Entertainment Television in Mumbai, India. Les continues to Lecture, as well as to Produce and Consult on Television and Film projects globally.

Telling stories just seems to come naturally for Pat Woodard. He’s won more than 100 regional and national awards for storytelling excellence, including a dozen EMMYs. In 2015 Pat was inducted into the Silver Circle of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, an honor reserved for professionals who elevate the standard of the television industry over the course of at least 25 years. Pat has produced, written, hosted and narrated award-winning documentaries that have taken him around the world for clients including the National Geographic Channel, the Discovery Channel, ESPN and many other networks.

As a teacher, Pat has been on the faculty of a number of prestigious workshops, conducting seminars of his storytelling techniques for television stations, networks, colleges and universities.

Inder is based in Delhi and has worked as Director of Photography projects covering investigative reporting, talk shows and devotional films on networks such as ABC India, BBC, and many reputable Indian channels. Inder has co-directed and produced documentaries like “In Search of Blessings” and “In Search of Spirituality” which were released under the T-Series Banner.
